Hello Song - The More We Get Together

(sung to the tune of “Have You Ever Seen a Lassie?”)

The more we get together,

Together, together.

The more we get together,

The happier we’ll be.

There’s <child’s name> and <child’s name>,

And <child’s name> and <child’s name>,

The more we get together,

The happier we’ll be.

I Can Work With One Hammer

I can work with one hammer,

One hammer, 1 hammer,

I can work with 1 hammer, (Hammer one fist lightly on leg)

I can work with two.

. . . . Two hammers (Hammer both fists on legs)

. . . . Three hammers (Hammer both fists on legs and one foot on the floor)

. . . . Four hammers (Hammer both fists on legs and both feet on the floor)

I can work with five hammers, Five hammers, five hammers,

I can work with five hammers (Hammer both fists on legs, both feet on floor, and nod head down and up)

Now I take a nap. (Rest head on joined palms, pretending to go to sleep)

Silly Moving Song by Mr. Scott

Let’s start by standing up.

Then it’s time to jump.

1...2…..3…..4…

Now that’s enough, no more.

Chorus:

This is the Silly Moving Song.

Don’t worry, it won’t be long.

Let’s move our body in different ways.

It just might start a new dance craze.

Get those feet moving to the left.

Like we’re catching the ball to intercept.

5….6….7…..8….

We better stop before it’s too late.

Chorus:

This is the Silly Moving Song.

Don’t worry, it won’t be long.

Let’s move our body in different ways.

It just might start a new dance craze.

Get those feet moving to the right.

Get away from that tiger’s bite.

9….10….11….12….

I need to stop to exhale.

Chorus:

This is the Silly Moving Song.

Don’t worry, it won’t be long.

Let’s move our body in different ways.

It just might start a new dance craze.

Lift your knees high to the sky.

I wonder if we’ll start to fly.

13….14…..15…..16….

I have a pain in my spleen.

Chorus:

This is the Silly Moving Song.

Don’t worry, it won’t be long.

Let’s move our body in different ways.

It just might start a new dance craze.

Walk backwards, just don’t crash

Into that really cute giraffe.

17….18….19…..20….

That’s the end of this silly shanty.

Chorus:

This is the Silly Moving Song.

Don’t worry, it won’t be long.

Let’s move our body in different ways.

It just might start a new dance craze.

Teasing Mr. Crocodile: “can’t catch me!” “no you can’t catch me!”

Along comes Mr. Crocodile quiet as can be and…SNAPPED that monkey right out of that tree!

Three little monkeys swinging in a tree,

Teasing Mr. Crocodile: “can’t catch me!” “no you can’t catch me!”

Along comes Mr. Crocodile quiet as can be and…SNAPPED that monkey right out of that tree!

Two little monkeys swinging in a tree,

Teasing Mr. Crocodile: “can’t catch me!” “no you can’t catch me!”

Along comes Mr. Crocodile quiet as can be and…SNAPPED that monkey right out of that tree!

One little monkey swinging in a tree,

Teasing Mr. Crocodile: “can’t catch me!” “no you can’t catch me!”

Singing Time: “Blackbird”

Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Take these broken wings and learn to fly

All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Take these sunken eyes and learn to see

All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to be free.

Blackbird fly Blackbird fly

Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly Blackbird fly

Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Take these broken wings and learn to fly

All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to arise

You were only waiting for this moment to arise

You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Movement Song: “The Farmer in the Dell”

Children join hands and dance around the farmer, who stands in the center of the circle as they sing. At the end of the first verse, the farmer chooses his wife, who joins him inside the circle. At the end of the next verse, the wife takes a child, and so on, until the last verse when everyone is in the circle except the cheese , who stands alone. Whoever ends up being the cheese becomes the farmer for the next round. If you have less than 10 children, you can remove some of the verses.
