Hello Song
Lyrics:
Journal Time:
Question: Music often brings back memories and the feelings associated with those memories. What song reminds you of a certain time in your life? Why does this particular song bring back those memories?
For instance: when I hear “Greatest Love of All” by Whitney Houston, I think of going on vacation with my family, riding in the back of our truck bed with my brother and sister, singing at the top of my lungs. Such a memory filled with love and joy.
We can listen to a little of each song.

Social Skills: Inside/Outside Voice
Lyrics:
There are lots of ways to use our voice, Use our voice, Use our voice
Lots of ways to use our voice, Outside and inside
When we are outside We can be loud Laa La La Laa La La La Laa La
When we are inside it’s time to be quiet Doo doo do doo do Do do doo do
Lots of ways to use our voice. Use our voice, Use our voice Lots of ways to use our voice Outside and inside!
Movement Song: Parachute
Video showing melody: https://youtu.be/2U84Kh09VgA
*Parachutes are in the middle room on a shelf. A big and a small size.
"Not everyone will get a parachute handle"
Lyrics:
“Up and down. Up and down. Up and down.
It goes fast fast fast, fast fast fast.”
“Up and down. Up and down. Up and down.
It goes fast fast fast, fast fast fast.”
"Now that you have a hang of this, I am going to invite a few of you to go under the parachute. The expectation is that you will sit, and keep your feet on the floor, and your hands in your lap."
While Cleaning Up Parachute: sing "Kookabura"
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree,
Merry, merry king of the bush is he,
Laugh, kookaburra, Laugh, kookaburra,
How happy your life must be!
"Light a Candle for Peace"
If There is More Time:
"Is there anyone who would like to share a musical talent today? Maybe you are learning an instrument like guitar, ukulele, or piano? We can have a few of you share today."
