Hello Song - The More We Get Together

(sung to the tune of “Have You Ever Seen a Lassie?”)

The more we get together,

Together, together.

The more we get together,

The happier we’ll be.

There’s <child’s name> and <child’s name>,

And <child’s name> and <child’s name>,

The more we get together,

The happier we’ll be.

“Skidamarink - a dink - a dink”

Skidamarink - a dink - a dink

Skidamarink - a doo!

I love you! (twice)

I love you in the morning

and in the afternoon

I love you in the evening

and underneath the moon!

Oh, skidamarink - a dink - a dink,

Skidamarink - a doo!

I LOVE YOU!!!

Make New Friends

  1. You can teach the concept of the round, by splitting the class into two, and having them start the chorus like in this video:

Chorus

Make new friends, but keep the old.

One is silver, and the other’s gold.

A circle is round, it has no end.

That's how long I want to be your friend.

A fire burns bright, it warms the heart.

We've been friends, from the very start.

You have one hand, I have the other.

Put them together and we have each other.

Chorus

Make new friends, but keep the old.

One is silver, and the other’s gold.

A circle is round, it has no end.

That's how long I want to be your friend.

Silver is precious, Gold is too.

I am precious, and so are you.

You help me, and I'll help you

and together we will see it through.

Chorus

Make new friends, but keep the old.

One is silver, and the other’s gold.

A circle is round, it has no end.

That's how long I want to be your friend.

The sky is blue The Earth is green

I can help to keep it clean

Across the land Across the sea

Friends forever We will always be

Chorus

Make new friends, but keep the old.

One is silver, and the other’s gold.

A circle is round, it has no end.

That's how long I want to be your friend.

Cinco de Mayo

The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is primarily a regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state capital city of Puebla and throughout the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico, and especially in U.S. cities with a significant Mexican population. It is not, as many people think, Mexico's Independence Day, which is actually September 16. [Educational or citation fair use is permitted, please quote your source as Mexonline.com]

“Cinco de Mayo” (to the tune of Are You Sleeping?)

Cinco de Mayo,

Cinco de Mayo,

The fifth of May,

The fifth of May

Is the anniversary

Of a great victory

For Mexico.

For Mexico.
